Wondering? Why I spent 5 dollars on this?

When this 5 U.S.D. App. Worked, it was very good. However, after updating it recently it will not download...I contacted the developer with no response....Non-existent customer service. Last time I spend 5 U.S.D. On an app. Qapla---UPDATE..Back to a Five Star rating...Apparently,after my One Star review this Wonderful App magically reinstalled. I wonder who or what was observing the app store? Truly a Qapla

Maneuver improvements needed.

Repeated irritation when you manouver between planets and such you keep getting the info on how to use and the credits everytime you, by mistake, press once on the screen while browsing. The time it takes for the simulations between the "sights" to finish gets boring very quickly when what youre trying to do is see as much as possible of the beautiful surroundings in our universe. Update and solve this pleace :-)

Excellent app.

I love this App. Everything about this app is awesome .. Including the software itself , navigation though the app, graphics , right level of information , great explanation by Brian cox .. Worth every single penny .. :) . I am buying an iPad just for this app .. U have gone through all the information almost 7 times..

Make for Mac!

Great job on visualizing the physics of our universe in such detail. I would really enjoy it most on Mac even if I had to buy the app again so please Make this app for Mac! Youll make your moneys worth.

The wonder is wonderful

Brian Cox is amazing. The Wonders of the Universe is approachable, understandable, and remarkable.

Worth even penny

Brian Cox is awesome and this app is also great! Breaks things down at a level easy to understand and still awe inspiring

This is a good app. It provides lots of interesting information. There are some things, however, that dont get a result when I search them. There are no videos about black holes, blue supergiant stars, and probably nothing at all about the core of the Andromeda galaxy. Also, I cant access the videos when I dont have Internet access, and the app would be a great deal better if I could.

WORTH EVERY CENT

If this game were 5 dollars Id pay the price, its now my favorite app and worth every cent. Great controls and topics, it would be nice if you could add more videos and longer ones please!!!

sad

No subtitles or closed captioning providing accessibility for deaf or hard of hearing people (or anyone else who might need it.) A sad oversight for what looks like a beautiful app. A very sad oversight when you think that twenty years ago people were playing fully accessible games.

Outstanding!

The app is very cool, as well as the visuals. However, Brian is the ultimate star and the reason I purchased this. He makes the app entirely! Is there anything he cant do? A truly amazing human being.

Wonders of life????

Where is the wonders of life in-app purchase?? It was supposed to be released LAST summer!!!

Inspiring and immersive way to learn about the physical world

This app provides a truly unique way of learning about the cosmos through written word, images, video and 3D models. I found Brian Coxs explanations gave a brilliant and complete view of our universe while still being delivered in good portions. While at times a bit repetitive, I often found that my next questions were being answered quickly and seemed almost anticipated. The thing that would have allowed me to enjoy the app a little more would be less repetition and a clear view of viewing the content by scale (from sub-atomic particles to the whole universe) or by section (life, solar system, universe).

DONT BUY FOR THE IPAD!

This junk is broken on my iPad Air. There is a gray bar that covers 75% of the screen?!?! Moving the icon has crashed my springboard 5 times. Will be deleting the second I post this. Pure crap!!

Pretty, but useless

All you can do is look around a pretty picture of the universe with an occasional printed word. No explanations of what you are seeing. A lot of money for a pretty picture. Not recommended.

Excellent

I purchased this app some time ago and through countless decisions on which apps to keep as space runs low, this is one of the few that always remains. The design is very intuitive and the information provided is excellent. Brian presents the complexity of the universe in a straightforward and direct approach and summarizes the details very well. One of the best applications I have seen which blends the content and details in a manner which should appeal to all.

Lovely app

Im in love with this app. Its beautiful, informative and an amazing thing to show off to other people. I have 4 gripes, though: 1)You should have the option to download the videos for offline viewing since the streaming slows down frequently. 2)Navigation for information could be a bit better. 3)Articles should have more information. Most articles end up just being a summary. The addition of a glossary of terms would be very welcome. 4) I know Pluto isnt a planet anymore but theres no information on it. Youd think a dwarf planet with such story would feature more information, but there barely was any. Theres a lot of room for improvement here, and this app has the potential of being the ultimate must have in the App Store.

One star

The video streaming is so annoying. Offline video download should be available. Till then have my one star.

Fantastic!

Let me preface this review by saying that Brian Cox is one hell of an intelligent guy. That being said, this app is amazing; mind blowing that is. From the highly detailed photos and videos, to the immerse information, this app redefines all others. Its perfect for showing off your iPad or iPhone. But beyond all that, the education this app provides is far beyond anything anyone couldve imagined twenty years ago. Very nice, thanks to all who put this together and made such a unique experience possible to be felt.

Wont work on iPad 1, even though it says it will.

I have this latest version, 1.7, of Wonders of the Universe installed on two iPhone 5s and two iPad Minis, each of which are running iOS 7.1, and the app works wonderfully. Despite the fact that the writeup for this latest version of "Wonders" says that it is now for the iPhone and iPad 1, it will not install on my iPad 1 (the original iPad from 2010), running iOS 5.1.1, which is where Apple left it without support quite a while ago. In fairness, this app writeup states that its compatibility requires iOS 7.0 or later, so were left with a contradiction between that and where the developer claims it is now compatible with iPad 1. Im disappointed in Apple for not supporting my original iPad, and in Harper Colins for claiming the app will now run on iPad 1, which is not true.

Great Space app for all ages

My girlfriend and I both learned a lot from this, and its enjoyable to watch. 5 stars!
