Prof Brian Cox's Universe App Reviews

Absolutely Brilliant!

Amazing that this is now on my iPad and I can take people on a tour of the known universe... If it were a $100 app it would still be worth it for the mechanics of exploring the universe alone, all the additional content is bonus. How in the world did they not have Brian Cox host the new Cosmos series?

Probably would enjoy it if....

I would be able to see some of the photos. I have searched everywhere to try and get support but no luck. I feel I should be able to see some of the photos on my iPad Air but all I get is blank slots where the photos are supposed to go. I do get the videos but not the photos. For $5.99 I expected a flawless app but I also cannot find support to get this issue taken care of. 2 stars for now.

Surface

I love how you can go to the surface on the moon and Mars

BRUH

This app is AMAZING, the graphics are so good and the videos are really helpful, but it sometimes takes a long time to stream them.

iPhone 6 +. App screen is 5s size

This is one of my favorite astronomy apps. However, I updated it when I got the iPhone 6 plus. While the menu spans the length, the rest of the app is still iPhone 5 size. For Godsake!

App is Not iPhone 6 Plus compatible!

SCREEN SIZE!

App is amazing but on my iPhone 6 I get a 5c or 5s sized screen! This is one of my best apps but since opening on my 6 the screen is soooooo disappointing.. PLEASE FIX! I wanna show this app off again! Thanks guys

Kindly update it for iphone 6 / plus.

I love this app and I love to see it updated to fit the new iPhones screen sizes.

Extremely rough on iOS 8 and iPhone 6 Plus

The 6 Plus issue is fixed, but the tap targets for individual destinations like the planets, galaxies, etc are either way too small or not positioned correctly on the x/y. As a result, tapping something like Mercury takes 4-5 attempts before the app selects it and zooms in. Highly frustrating.

AMAZING

This app is amazing, not only does it teach about space but the importance of life as well

Awesome needs update

Great app but needs a dope upgrade asap!! Pleaseeee!!

LOVE IT!!! XD

I love this so much! its astonishing!!! Its amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic

5 stars, works on my iPhone 6 plus. One of the finest tours of the universe for adults and he adults. Hard observational science done right.

W O W

Lots of information, videos, incredible pictures!

For Independently Curious Minds

This app can be used in several ways. 1. Visually zoom around the solar system, Galaxy, and universe. Tap things to learn more 2. Go section by section and learn about macro level stuff like the universe all the way down to atoms and even sub-atomic particles. The app has beautiful images, helpful diagrams, and mediocre videos. Youll likely have the most fun by zooming around our solar system and learning about all the planets and moons. I didnt go to school for physics or astronomy, business actually. But I love space and, as a result, have learned to love physics. This app was a great opportunity to revisit basic physics and grasp the most micro scale building blocks of our lives

Beautiful, but slanted.

I give this app five stars because it is so gorgeous. It is, as well, highly informative. But, while all of that is good, it is completely slanted to the view of evolution and the Big Bang theory. Creationism is not an option in this app. Im able to overlook this fact simply because I believe the app shows the vastness of the universe, and that makes it special to me. How anyone can look at this app and say that this vast Cosmos is a random advent.. believe what you want. “Even evolutionist Stephen Hawking, considered the best-known scientist since Albert Einstein, acknowledges “the universe and the laws of physics seem to have been specifically designed for us. If any one of about 40 physical qualities had more than slightly different values, life as we know it could not exist: Either atoms would not be stable, or they wouldn’t combine into molecules, or the stars wouldn’t form the heavier elements, or the universe would collapse before life could develop, and so on...” (Austin American Statesman, October 19, 1997)” The key word here is "designed".

Dont buy

At least till the developer updates the app for newer devices.

iPhone 6s Plus support?

Does not fit the plus iPhones.

I did not like it a bit

I thought this would be a good app to teach the kids (5-6), but this app is completely useless....atleast for me and my kids. I would have preferred to donate the money I bought the app for. Please dont waste your money on this app.

Gorgeous

As a huge enthusiast of astronomy and astrophysics, I have many space-related apps, and this one is my new favorite. Terrific interactive content, beautiful animations and transitions, and great information. This is a wonderful companion to the fantastic series. Dr. Brian Cox is amazing in this series, and I look forward to more of the same in future projects. Well done!
